From start to finish, here is my latest painting. A Long Eared Owl, painted in watercolour.
First a background wash.
Then the eyes so as to bring it to life.
As the feathering around the eyes built up, it brought the stare out.
A base colour wash to the cheeks before the fine feathering was started.
The final touches completed.
Finished.
